Germany’s Rethmann group reported lower revenues and earnings for the 2023 business year. Turnover declined, both for the group as a whole and in the Remondis, Rhenus and Saria divisions. As previously reported by EUWID, Remondis, Germany’s largest waste management company, saw turnover decrease by around 4 per cent to €12.1bn in 2023.

The parent company's 2023 financial statement, now available in the German Federal Gazette reports decreases in both earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) as well as consolidated annual profit for the wider group. Moreover, the annual report reveals that Remondis once again carried out a number of acquisitions that were not actively communicated.
