Renewi "cautiously optimistic" for full year 2022/23

The Dutch-English waste management company Renewi confirmed its underlying earnings forecast for its 2022/23 financial year against the backdrop of a challenging macroeconomic outlook. In a recent trading update for the third financial quarter ended 31 December, the company said its expectations for the group’s full-year performance remain unchanged. CEO Otto de Bont said, "Over the near term we will be navigating inflation, price increases and volume pressure, but we remain cautiously optimistic".

"We are continuing to execute our strategic agenda and to build on our leading position as a manufacturer of low carbon secondary materials," Mr De Bont added. The CEO highlighted the completion of the advanced sorting facility for packaging waste in Ghent and further progress on its sorting facilities in Puurs and Acht in Belgium as highlights in the recently completed quarter.
