The Spanish oil and chemicals group Repsol has acquired a 27 per cent shareholding in the recycling and waste management firm Acteco. Repsol said that the move would ensure its access to high-quality plastic waste and promote a circular economy for its products. The parties did not provide any information about the purchase price.
With Repsol on board, Acteco would double its plastic recycling capacity over the next five years, the investor said.
