Scottish plastics recycling technology developer Reventas has signed an engineering and licensing alliance with US engineering company KBR aimed at accelerating the commercial deployment of its dissolution recycling technology. Under the agreement, KBR will support the global licensing, engineering and scale-up of the process, which is designed to produce "virgin-like" recycled polyolefins from post-consumer plastic waste, Reventas announced in late June.
Reventas' proprietary process uses dissolution technology to purify post-consumer polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) waste streams, removing colours, contaminants and other non-polymer components to produce natural-coloured recycled pellets....
