Sims Ltd reported last week that its Metal businesses were all on track to contribute to "a good start to the 2024/25 year". In its first financial quarter which ends on 30 September, the recycler's metals recycling businesses are expected to contribute total earnings before interest and tax (Ebit) of AUD55m, or slightly less than €33m. The positive development would be achieved "despite ongoing market challenges across all regions", the company said in a mid-September trading update. The Ebit estimates remain subject to shipping schedules and adjustment.
