Plastics recycler Source One Plastics has commissioned two new optical sorting units for rigid plastic waste at its site in Eicklingen, Lower Saxony. The "CG Max" and "CI8" flake sorter models from Meyer Deutschland are designed to sort around 15,000 tonnes of processed post-consumer plastic waste per year, separating the material by colour and polymer type. The company, a joint venture between 23 Oaks Investments and LyondellBasell, says it is responding to growing demand in Europe for single-grade recyclates....
