Swedish district heating company Stockholm Exergi has made a final investment decision (FID) for its planned BECCS (bioenergy with carbon capture and storage) project, the company announced at the end of last month. The project at Exergi's Värtan power plant will use Capsol Technologies’ carbon capture solution to permanently remove 800,000 tonnes of CO2 annually from 2028. The project has already received a €180m funding commitment from the EU Innovation Fund....
