The European waste management activities of French company Suez Environnement generated revenues of €4.809bn in the first nine months of the year 2011. The 10 per cent year-on-year growth in the division's revenues can be primarily attributed to its sorting and recycling activities which recorded an organic growth of 31 per cent, the company announced on Wednesday. The other activities of the Waste Europe division, which include the Sita group, also recorded growing revenues. However, the division's British activities were an exception and reported weaker business due to deterioration in the overall economic situation, Suez Environnement reported.
