South Korean battery recycler SungEel HiTech is planning to build a battery recycling plant in Rudolstadt-Schwarza in the German state of Thuringia, with Samsung as an investor. The plans were announced by Gicon-Großmann Ingenieur Consult GmbH, a consulting firm that is coordinating the permitting process for the project. Gicon announced late last week that the plant is to go on line at the end of 2023. Construction is expected to begin in spring of next year....
