Sweden: Inducore acquires baler manufacturer Presona

Swedish industrial group Inducore has acquired baler manufacturer Presona, also based in Sweden. The sales contract was signed at the end of June, and Presona would now be integrated into Inducore group’s System Solutions business area, Presona announced. No details regarding the purchase price were divulged.

The baler manufactuer is headquartered in Tomelilla in southern Sweden and specialises in the development and production of balers with pre-pressing technology. Its products are jused to bale a wide variety of mateiral, from paper and plastic to household and industrial waste. In addition, the company supplies pneumatic waste extraction systems to the graphics industry and paper and packaging manufacturers.

The acquisition sees Inducore take over 100 per cent of Presona’s shares. Presona’s chairman Stefan Bengtsson welcomed the acquisition, highlighting potential synergies with other Inducore Group companies. Presona CEO Stefan Ekström also sees opportunities for further development under the new ownership structure.

"Inducore possesses solid industrial expertise and is the right strategic owner for Presona. I see great opportunities in becoming part of a larger industrial group, while also strengthening the Presona brand," Mr Ekström said.

Inducore, which is headquartered in Västerås, Sweden, is active in three business areas: truck bodies, system solutions, and component manufacturing with solutions for machining, and sheet metal working. The company aims for long-term profitable growth through professional and proactive management. According to Inducore's CEO Magnus Biesse, Presona fits well with this strategy. "We look forward to developing the business further in close collaboration with the team in Tomelilla," he said.
