German scrap recycling firm TSR plans to start marketing stainless steel scrap directly to end customers via a new subsidiary. The firm TSR Stainless GmbH was founded in summer 2022 to bundle TSR’s activities in the stainless steel sector, said TSR’s parent company Remondis on its homepage. Instead of combining volumes of stainless steel scrap from different scrapyards into larger consignments and marketing these via intermediaries, TSR now wants to open a "Stainless Excellence Centre” in every region. These centres will directly supply stainless steel mills and produce customised material mixtures, known as blends. The first such centre is slated to open in Düsseldorf, Germany in 2024....
