French environmental services group Veolia reported a "sustained growth dynamic and solid operational performance" in the first three quarters of the current year. "Our results demonstrate the robustness of our value-creation model and our ability to move forward with agility, even in an uncertain environment," said CEO Estelle Brachlianoff at the presentation of the financial figures in Paris on 7 November.
She confirmed the group’s 2024 targets as well as its medium-term outlook for 2024-2027 under the group’s "Green Up" strategy.
On the same day, Veolia also announced that it had won a contract worth around €440m to build and operate a new waste to energy (wte) plant in the Corrèze region of southwestern France.
In the first nine months of this year, Veolia generated revenues of €11.656bn worldwide in its waste management business, as compared with €10.992bn in the prior-year period. Adjusted for currency effects and changes in the scope of consolidation, this represented organic growth of 6.4 per cent, according to the company....
