Viridor Waste Management Limited, a subsidiary of Pennon Group Plc, has signed an agreement with Devon County Council for the construction of a new energy from waste (EfW) plant. The facility with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes will be built with an investment of £45.6m in Exeter, UK, the British waste management company announced on Monday. The EfW plant will have a power generation capacity of around 3 MW and is expected to be commissioned by 2014, the company reported.
