Amid challenging market conditions, more than 4.0 million tonnes of waste wood were recovered in the UK last year. This represented a 7 per cent decline compared with 2024, according to the UK's Wood Recyclers' Association (WRA). Around 89 per cent of all waste wood generated (2024: 96 per cent) was recovered, predominantly at biomass power facilities.
