Copper price stabilises after tumbling early in the month

Following the major upheaval on the copper market at the beginning of April, the LME price moved sideways from mid-month. During the working week commencing 15 April, prices fluctuated within a narrow range of $9,100-$9,200 per tonne. The wholesale market in Germany also reported largely stable prices for non-ferrous scrap last week.

According to new service MBI, wholesale buying-in prices for copper scrap remained unchanged, as did those for brass scrap, zinc scrap and lead scrap....
