Following a sharp decline at the start of May and the recovery that followed, copper prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) have stabilised at around $9,500 per tonne. In the German non-ferrous scrap market, copper scrap saw a slight dip during the week commencing on 19 May, while aluminium scrap prices edged higher.
According to new service MBI, prices for all copper scrap grades fell in Germany last week. Wholesale buying-in prices for both brass scrap and light brass scrap also dropped....
