Copper prices are climbing once more. In the final week of November, the London Metal Exchange (LME) benchmark rose by nearly $300 per tonne to just below its late-October record high. Non-ferrous scrap metal traders in Germany also report a rebound in prices.

According to the news agency MBI, wholesale purchasing prices for copper scrap increased by €10 per 100 kilogrammes on the German market in the past week. Brass scrap became €5-10 more expensive, depending on the grade. Prices for red brass scrap rose by €10-20. Old zinc scrap was traded at the same level as in the previous week. Prices for the stainless steel scrap alloys V2A and V4A as well as all aluminium scrap grades covered by MBI also remained unchanged.
