The British market for recovered paper and board was predominately characterised by stability in June. While supplies remained rather tight, paper producers’ need for material held steady.
The strong demand for old corrugated containers (OCC) continued in June. However, after a strong month in May, British paper mills were somewhat more restrained in their purchasing. This was offset by continued strong interest from buyers in Turkey and the Far East, especially Vietnam and Indonesia, which provided additional support for prices.
