German non-ferrous prices rise amid volatile market

The copper market is very volatile at the moment. A jump in the LME copper price in the middle of March was followed by an equally sharp decline at the end of last week. However, scrap metal marchants are still reporting rising prices for week commencing 17 April.

According to new service MBI, the wholesale buying price for copper scrap rose last week. Brass scrap prices picked up and the price of old zinc scrap climbed....
