Following a decline in prices for ordinary recovered paper grades at the beginning of May, no further price reductions were observed on the German market in the subsequent weeks. However EUWID respondents believe that June may bring another fall in prices for ordinary recovered paper grades.
Recovered paper demand from the Far East is still weak and has resulted in excess supply on the German domestic market, especially for supermarket corrugated paper and board (1.04). The surplus is becoming even more pronounced as suppliers from neighbouring markets, facing the same problems with sales to the Far East, try to sell off additional volumes in Germany.
