The market for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Germany has seen surprisingly high intake volumes this spring, while revenues from metal sales remained stable at a high level. Simultaneously, e-waste recyclers are faced with the impact of sharply higher diesel prices.
So far, they have had almost no luck passing along the increased transport costs. The pricing of waste treatment services for the individual collection categories was unchanged for the most part compared with the previous EUWID market survey published in early February.
