High scrap metal prices boost revenues for WEEE recyclers in Germany

The market for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Germany is currently shaped mainly by the very high prices for ferrous scrap and non-ferrous scrap, such as copper and aluminium. As a result, the revenue situation for WEEE recyclers is generally positive. The higher revenues also offset the enormous increase in logistics costs, various market participants told EUWID. However, plant operators are concerned about WEEE arisings.
