Copper's LME tumble set-off a downward trend on the scrap metals market.

The LME copper price has fallen by over $500 dollars per tonne in the last one and a half weeks. The slide caused prices on the German non-ferrous scrap metal market to fall sharply as well.

According to news service MBI, wholesale buying-in prices for copper scrap grades fell  in the week commencing 27 April....
