Sinking LME price pulls copper scrap price lower in Germany

The LME copper price continues to slip further from its recent peak, sending prices for many non-ferrous scrap grades lower as well.

The price of copper on the London Metal Exchange fell again slightly last week. Since the historic highs of mid-May, the price has dropped by just less than $1,500/t. Scrap metal prices in Germany also decreased in the working week which commenced on 24 June.

According to news service MBI, less was paid for copper scrap than in the prior week....
