The final month of 2022 brought little change to Germany’s waste plastics market. Both purchase prices for plastic scrap and selling prices for regrind and regranulate remained largely unchanged during the short work month of December. Film scrap exports were good, especially to Malaysia and Indonesia, thanks in part to another reduction in freight rates for shipments to the Far East. Turkish buyers also purchased film scrap in December because import licences for 2022 were set to expire at year's end and local recyclers would likely not receive new licences until the third week of January....
