The LME copper price was followed a clear downward trend last week. The impact of the price movement on scrap metal prices has been slight so far, but is likely to be seen in a stronger decline this week.
The rally on the metal exchanges continues. At the beginning of June, LME prices for copper and aluminium rose, approaching their all-time highs. The German non-ferrous scrap metal markets also saw prices trend higher in the week commencing 1 June.
