Wholesale buying-in prices for non-ferrous scrap move sideways in Germany

Prices on the London Metal Exchange have now stabilised, albeit at a lower level than before July's slump. The LME copper price was stable at around $8,900 per tonne in the working week commencing 12 August. The aluminium exchange price also moved sideways, having settled around the $2,300 mark. Accordingly, there were few price changes on the German scrap metal market last week.
