Batteries and waste shipments find a place on Czech Presidency's climate-heavy agenda

The Czech government has listed the transition to a circular economy as priorities in the programme it released to coincide with its assumption of the rotating European Council presidency on 1 July. In the document outlining its priorities, "Europe as a Task: Rethink, Rebuild, Repower", the Czech government includes the proposed Regulation on batteries and waste batteries. The legislation "will be at the most advanced stage of negotiations, and the Czech Presidency will try to advance the negotiations as far as possible towards a political agreement between the EP and the Council," according to the programme. ...
