Brussels again criticises inconsistent, incomplete waste shipment reporting by member states

The amount of hazardous waste exported by EU member states more than doubled between 2011 and 2019, rising from 3.9 million tonnes to 8.1 million tonnes. These figures stem from a European Commission report on the implementation of rules on transboundary shipments of waste and include both transports between EU member states and extra-EU exports.
