The EU Commission wants to reduce administrative burden without affecting the policy objectives pursued by the legislation.

As part of its initiative to streamline and reduce administrative requirements, the European Commission is examining potential measures in the fields of waste and environmental legislation. They include discontinuing the SCIP database for substances of very high concern (SVHC), according to a call for evidence launched by the EU authority this week.
