The European Commission plans to examine the EU Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in order to determine whether a revision is necessary. In preparation for the evaluation, the Brussels body has launched a call for evidence which runs until 3 November 2022. Stakeholders are invited to provide the Commission with data on the costs and benefits of the Directive, or reference to sources for such data, and to help "identify the administrative burden potential". This information will contribute to the assessment of the costs and benefits resulting from the implementation of the Directive and its provisions....
