France's ban on non-refillable e-cigarettes went into effect at the end of last month, meaning disposable vapes can no longer be sold nor distributed free of charge. The sales restrictions apply to all units that cannot be refilled, including those with rechargeable batteries. Violations of the ban can result in fines of up to €100,000 or as much as €200,000 for repeat offences. The law was adopted unanimously in the French National Assembly and Senate.
France is now the second EU country after Belgium to ban the sale of non-refillable e-cigarettes. In Ireland a ban on disposable vapes reached the cabinet approval level last autumn....
