Notification procedure for non-hazardous WEEE to be postponed

The planned expansion of the prior notification and consent procedure to include transfrontier shipments of non-hazardous waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) will likely be delayed by two years within the EU. The European Commission is now proposing that this only become mandatory as of 2027. However, the EU Parliament and the member states may raise against objections against this approach.
