Some 282 tonnes of illegally imported waste are to be repatriated from the Czech Republic to Germany in the coming weeks. The first lorryload of the material left a dump site in the Brno district of Horní Heršpice on Monday. According to the Czech Ministry of the Environment, the waste was transported to the site between June and the end of 2024 by the Bavarian company Roth International. The costs of returning the material are being borne by the Germany side, the ministry said in a Wednesday statement.
