Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones formally opened Viridor Waste’s new energy recovery facility in Cardiff, Wales last week.

The „Trident Park“ incineration plant has a capacity of up to 350,000 tonnes of waste a year and generates 28 MW of energy. The technology for the plant, which treats residual waste from the local authority waste partnership Prosiect Gwyrdd and business waste, was supplied by the French company CNIM. The investment volume for the project is £223 million, according to Viridor.
