Veolia sets ambitious targets for growth in the US

French environmental services concern Veolia aims to substantially expand its footprint in the United States. In a recent "Deep Dive" conference held in New York city, the group said it aimed to increase its revenue in the region by 50 per cent by 2027 and to double its current US-derived revenue by 2030. This is to be accomplished through a combination of organic growth, tuck-in acquisitions and capital expenditure.

Veolia generated $5.4bn in revenue in North America in 2023. A quarter of the total, or $1.3bn, came from hazardous waste treatment operations, making the French group the number three player in this US market.
