German waste management and recycling group Alba will be "realigning the strategy of its Interseroh brand to the vision of a future without waste", according to a statement issued on Monday. The realignment will be accompanied by a restructuring of its services operations, and segment director Eric Mendel will leave the board of directors of the parent company Alba Group plc & Co. KG on 31 August.

The concern's new services segment strategy is to be based on four key concepts, around which the concern's other activities are to be organised. Alba's management explained the step saying that a new "Reuse, Reduce, Recycle and Rethink" model was necessary in a changing society with changing aspirations with regard to the use of raw materials. The trend is away from a throw-away society and towards responsible management of resources, said Alba. The four pillars are to be managed in business centres.
