Dutch waste company Attero to be sold to Ardian

Around five years after the Dutch waste management company Attero was taken over by the financial investors3i Infrastructure and DWS, the business is changing hands again. The French investment fund Ardian plans to acquire 100 per cent of Attero. Ardian and 3i announced the signing of a sales agreement on Monday and said they expected the transaction to be completed in the fourth quarter, conditional on works council consultation and merger clearance from the European Commission.

"Expected net proceeds from the sale are approximately €215m, a ca. 31 per cent uplift from our valuation of €164m at 31 March 2023,” 3i said. The proceeds from the sale will be used to partially pay down drawings on the company's revolving credit facility, according to the financial investor....
