England is exporting more refuse-derived fuels (RDF) again. After several years of declining export volumes, shipments to the European Continent have now risen again by 7 per cent in the first half of 2023, according to data recently published by the Environment Agency. In particular, deliveries to Sweden and Germany increased significantly compared to the previous year. The largest purchaser of RDF from England at company level remains by far the EEW group with its waste-to-energy (wte) plants in Germany and the Netherlands....
