The environmental NGO Arnika is warning that the Czech Republic will overshoot the waste to energy (wte) capacity that it requires to process future municipal waste arisings if the government continues to approve municipal waste incinerators. In an assessment of developments in waste to energy capacity in the Czech Republic published earlier in December, Arnika noted that the Ministry of the Environment had given consent to two municipal wte plants in 2022, and that plans for four additional facilities had also been made public this year....
