European remanufacturing shows great potential for growth

|

The European remanufacturing industry could triple its turnover and create up to 65,000 new jobs by 2030, according to a new market study undertaken by the European Remanufacturing Network (ERN).

The network notes that supportive governmental policy is a prerequisite for the potential growth of this "undervalued part of the industrial landscape", which keeps "components and their embodied material in use for longer". ERN puts the current size of the European remanufacturing industry at just under €30bn and the number of its employees at around 190,000 people.
