Spanish services conglomerate FCC reported last week that its American subsidiary FCC Environmental Services had secured a municipal waste collection contract valued at up to $450m (ca. €425m). The contract, awarded by the City of Port Saint Lucie is to commence on 5 September and represents a backlog of $300m for a seven-year term and includes the possibility of a three-year extension, the parent company said.
