Finnish waste management and services provider Lassila & Tikanoja ended the 2015 fiscal year with significantly higher net earnings than the year before. The company reported a profit of €37.9 million for the year, up from €18.1 million in 2014.
Full-year net sales for the firm edged only one per cent higher to €646.3 million, up from €639.7 million in 2014. Lassila & Tikanoja (L&T) attributed the increase in net sales primarily to "strategically targeted acquisitions" during the fiscal year. Operating profit improved by about 3 per cent to €49.9 million, according to L&T.
For the current financial year, the company foresees stability or a slight improvement in net sales and operating profit.
