Five months before its opening day, the Ifat Entsorga environmental technology trade fair is already fully booked. Its organiser Messe München reported on Tuesday that waiting lists have been started in almost all product categories. The main product groups presented at the event, which takes place from 7 to 11 May 2012 in Munich, include water and waste water, recycling and waste management, and raw materials management.
The 2012 exhibition will cover a total of 215,000 m² of exhibition space, 80,000 m² indoors and 35,000 m² outdoors, which will set a new record for the trade fair series. The number of exhibitors will exceed the 2,730 that took part in the previous edition held in 2010, according to the organiser, who is particularly pleased with the response from abroad. A total of 27 international joint stands from 17 countries are registered, with Canada, Japan, Norway, Russia and Spain taking joint stands for the first time, said Eugen Egetenmeir, managing director of Messe München.
