The Finnish utility Vantaan Energia has awarded the contract to supply the combustion technology and boiler for a waste to energy plant to be built near Helsinki to Swiss plant contractor Hitachi Zosen Inova. The company, which announced the new project on Monday, reported that the plant will consist of two lines with a capacity of 64 MW each and have a rated throughput of 352,000 tonnes of municipal waste a year. Hitachi Zosen Inova puts the value of the contract at €60m.
