Its subsidiary Sita Waste Services will manage the North Lantau Transfer Station for ten years under the terms of a new contract with a total value of €35m. A 50/50 joint venture between Sita Waste Services and Atal Environmental Engineering was awarded a ten-year contract worth €75m covering the transport of dewatered sludge from a waste water plant to a treatment facility via two diesel-electric ships.

In China's other Special Administrative Region, Macau, a contract with Suez Environnement subsidiary Companhia de Sistemas de Residuos de Macau (CSR) was renewed. The parent group put the value of the contract, which covers street cleaning, waste collection and treatment, at €200m over its ten-year life.
