Paprec buys metals recycler in Alsace and wins contract to build sorting plant near Toulouse

Waste management group Paprec is set to increase its presence in eastern France, having announced the acquisition of the recycling company Cernay Environnement early last week. The takeover, the value of which was not disclosed, also includes the subsidiary Alsadis, which specialises in the management of hazardous waste.

According to Paprec, the new acquisition based in Cernay, near Mulhouse in Upper Alsace was previously owned by the founding family. Last week, Paprec also announced that it has been awarded the contract to design, build and operate a sorting plant for separately collected recyclables from households in Bessières near Toulouse. As reported by the waste management company, this will be the largest sorting plant of this type in France with a capacity of 70,000 tonnes per year....
