Suez Environnement reports lower revenue from waste activities

|

Suez Environnement's Western European waste management activities saw revenues weaken by four per cent to €4.871bn in the first three quarters of the current year.

In the Benelux countries and Germany, lower volumes in the commercial and industrial (C&I) waste segments and declines in service, sorting and recycling activities were responsible for an organic contraction in turnover by 5.5 per cent or €65m for the region as a whole, according to the third-quarter earnings report released on Thursday.

On its home market in France, Suez Environnement had observed a stabilisation in third-quarter turnover. In its UK and Northern Europe region, waste management activities had experienced organic revenue growth in all three quarters of 2013.
