The London-based company TowerBrook Capital Partners will take over a majority stake in metals refining and recycling group Metallum Holding S.A. The transaction is expected to be finalised in August, the financial investor reported at the end of last week. The consideration was not disclosed.
Metallum Holding is the owner of Belgian company Metallo Chimique NV, which focuses on the smelting and refining of secondary copper, tin, lead and nickel. The holding's second subsidiary, Metallum Group AG based in Switzerland, operates recycling yards, processing plants and trading offices for ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals in several European countries, the Middle East and Asia.
