The Spanish environmental services provider Urbaser is withdrawing from the UK market. The company announced the sale of its British activities to its competitor FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente on Tuesday. Urbaser's plant fleet in the UK includes the Javelin Park waste to energy (wte) plant in Gloucestershire. In addition to the energy recovery plant, the company also has sorting and recycling facilities, composting plants and landfill sites.
